Student Challenge
Solar Car Mission
Goal:
Design and create a solar powered car that can travel 20 meters the fastest.
Schools will be provided with five solar panels.
Who Can Participate:
Elementary schools - Monday competition
Middle schools - Tuesday competition
High schools - Tuesday competition
Awards:
1st Place – $200
2nd Place – $100
3rd Place – $50
Rules:
Each group of students will create their car and be able to explain the design.

Schools may bring up to five teams.

You may do qualifying heats on school campus prior and pick your top five.

Students may not use any pre-made cars or kits.

Students may choose to use any materials that are allowed by Volusia county schools.

Engineering sheet must be filled out by the team and signed by their teacher.
